Bios Robert Cordero
Before branching out to form Workshop96, Inc., Robert helped create various residential and commercial projects at BDS Architects, a Design-build firm, with the latest being The Mondial, an award-winning, 15-story, 142 unit residential and commercial building nestled in the River West neighborhood. The Design-build firm has given Robert valuable experience in taking on any project from its inception and design to construction to final inspection.
When not immersed in sketching and designing Robert likes giving back to society by volunterering at various non-profit organizations. He recently was bestowed the prestigious Jefferson Award for Public Service and just returned from Joplin, Mo. to help in the home rebuilding process through Habitat for Humanity.
He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, School of Architecture and studied abroad at ESA, Ecole Speciale d'Architecture in Paris.
He also teaches Architectural drawing and AutoCad computer classes at Wright College.
Alex Pellicano
Before co-founding Workshop96, Inc., Alex, along with Robert whom he's worked with for over 15 years, was also a vital member of BDS Architects and its award-winning firm. He's worked on projects ranging from unique single-family homes, entire residential sub-divisions, to high-rise mixed-use towers. As Project Architect and Construction Manager at this Design-build firm, he was responsible for design development, permitting, construction administration, and construction supervision of various projects.
He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the renowned Mies Van Der Rohe program at the Illinois Institute of Technology with honors.
Alex has passed the rigorous Architecture Registration Exam in 2004 and been practicing as a licensed professional ever since.
He teaches Contracts, Codes and Specs, Blue-print reading and Materials of Construction classes at the College of DuPage.
